Sevenly is an organic funding movement that raises capital and awareness for the world's greatest causes. This week, Sevenly is supporting Compassion International. This campaign specifically targets the Malaria Intervention Program - also known as "Bite Back!"
Problem
Every year more than 1 million people die from Malaria. 3 of every 4 deaths are children living in Africa. Malaria is a mosquito transmitted disease that inflicts high fevers, shaking chills, flu-like symptoms and anemia. There is a simple solution in preventing and fighting Malaria, but many families in Africa live in poverty and can not afford treatment or prevention.Solution
With $7,000, Compassion International can provide insecticide-treated mosquito nets to hundreds of children. This simple prevention tool will save thousands of children from the painful and potentially fatal disease.Compassion International's Malaria Intervention program intervenes by:
- Providing households at risk with treated mosquito nets
- Educating family members on malaria prevention
- Treating those suffering from malaria, chagas disease and dengue fever
For every t-shirt purchased, Sevenly will donate $7 dollars to help provide a mosquito net to a child in Rwanda. Please check out the video below and make a purchase here.
