I love this time when I get a letter from all of my kids!!! Here they are!!
The first is from Chatchai from Thailand - Dated May 2, 2012:
Dear Maria,
I'm writing on behalf of Chatchai because he is unable to write by himself. He is wondering how you and your family are right now. Are you keeping very well? He and his family are very fine. Again, he is wondering how the weather in your country is right now. Is it so hot or not? He can go to Church sometimes and he can join in the Christmas celebration with the project. He says he is very glad and very happy on Christmas Day recently. He says he prefers both Christmas Day and Easter Day. He says right now his family is preparing for growing corn crops. He says he can join in his birthday party in the project because the project has arranged for him and many other friends. Also, the Easter celebration has been arranged in the project as well. He asks you to take good care of your health because right now the weather is very hot. He asks you to say a prayer for him in coming to learn in the project and for his preparation for learning in a new grade, and for his parents in their work also. He prays the blessing of the Lord to stay with you and your family.
Love in Christ and With love and highly respect,
Chatchai and child worker on his behalf
Even though someone at the project is writing for him... I imagine my little guy saying "And tell her this... and this... and this...!!!" :) How I love his letters! So much detail from such a little tike!
This next one is Nury from Mexico - Dated July 9, 2012.
Hello Sponsor Maria!
How is your health? I am fine. My holidays are Christmas, Easter, and New Year's Eve. On my birthday, my grandmother cooked tamales. I had a great time! Ho has everything gone with your students. What grade will you be teaching in? I am going to have a female teacher. I am passing onto 5th grade meanwhile my sister is moving onto 8th grade. We are doing good in school. Thanks for the letter you sent me, it is very pretty and the drawings were nice. I wish you could pray for my family. I am about to get out on vacation, and when that happens, I am going to attend the Vacation Bible School, both at church and at Compassion. I hope you have a good time. God Bless you.
Nury
Oh Nury, you are growing beautifully into the woman God has created you to be!
Last but not least is Yamairy from Dominican Republic - Dated June 19, 2012.
Dear Maria,
How are you? The child and her mother send warm regards and blessings to you. The child says she did well in school because she got promoted to 4th grade! The child thanks you for the letter, stickers, and for the pictures. The child wants to know, do you like bread with salami? She asks for prayers for her whole family and for you. May God bless you.
With love and affection,
Yamairy and Compassion tutor

I spent time with my family and we had a gathering at school and we had a gift exchange. And at school of Compassion we paraded. The parade was nice. I also wanted to tell you that I'm about to pass to 5th grade and it will also be my birthday on April 1st. I will spend time with my family on holidays. AT the project I will continue praising God. My family is good health. My grandma is learning more about God. Thank you for the figures and the pictures. My family and I are doing well. I want to say hi to all your family. Well, bye and may God Bless you.
Nury
Please pray for: My family
I would like to ask you: When is your birthday?
I want to thank you for: the figures and the pictures
Love hearing that she is doing so well and is so engulfed in God! Nury just turned 11 years-old this past April 1st. Please pray that she continues to grown into the beautiful young lady that God is molding her to be. Please check back to hear about the letter from Chatchai from Thailand!

Mail Call from Mexico
Here is the third letter received from my third sponsor child. This one come from Nury from Mexico. It was dated October 22, 2011 and was received December 19, 2011.
Hi dear sponsor Maria,
How has your health been? I hope you're doing well. I'm doing well, but I had a little fever, a cold and a cough. At my church, they teach me hot to praise God and how to pray. At the Compassion Project (also known as Compassion CDC - Child Development Centre), they teach me about God. I would like you to please pray for me and my family. I was really happy to receive the letters and the stickers you sent me. I'm doing well in school. I'm 9 years old and my sister is 12. My mom is 32 years old and my dad is 38 years old. I've been having a really good time in school. My teacher left already and we organized a special meal and get-together to say goodbye to him. We had fun with all my classmates. I hope you'll have a really good time this Christmas. God bless you. See you soon.
Nury
I absolutely love how her responses are lengthier and more detailed. She is growing into such a beautiful young lady of God. Would love to hear about your letter updates! I love reading them on your posts! Feel free to also comment below and share the link to your post!

Thank you for all the letters you have sent me. Thank you for the sticker and the letter; they are so pretty. May God bless you and your family. Thank you for the magazines. How are your students? Tell them I send greetings to them. May God bless all your students and you. My school year starts August 22nd and finishes on July 1st. I have a dog named Ritch. Please pray for my family and for me. I would like to ask you how long you have been working? I want to thank you for all the letters you have sent me.
Nury
I was incredibly touched that Nury was praying for my family and I, but to also pray for my first grade students was the tear-jerker! I was also very happy to receive the beautiful new stationary that Michelle had mentioned in her blog.
Here is a picture that I received this month of Nury and her birthday present of choice from the money I sent. So great to see a smile on her face. Looks great on her!

Mail Call from Mexico!
My third and final letter that I received this month was from my dear Nury. It was dated May 19, 2011 and was received August 15, 2011.
Dear Maria,
I hope you are in very good health along with all your family. I'm very happy for my birthday gift that was a very nice skirt with flounces (I picture a skirt either with tiers or with ruffles). May God Bless you and I hope you send me a picture and more letters soon. Thank you for all the letters you have sent me. I'm going to dance at school in July and I'm going to pass to grade 4 and I hope to have new partners (classmates?) and also my new teacher. Thanks for the magazine. My parents send regards and I do too. I want to tell you that I also love you very much.
Thank you because I received my birthday gift for my birthday.
Nury
Nothing warms my heart more than to know that these children experiencing the love of Christ through Compassion's ministry and in turn are sharing it with their families. I truly hope that one day I might meet Nury, Yamairy, and Chatchai.... Until then, I will treasure the letters I receive from them and continue to develop our relationship with each other and the Lord.
Have a blessed week and write to your sponsor child if you haven't already!
