Water is essential to life but can also be very dangerous. It is something we need for survival but can be the cause of so many problems. I am ever so grateful that I live in a country where I have access to clean water to drink, wash my hands, bathe....

Consider donating to Compassion International's Water of Life campaign and grant a family in poverty access to clean water!

 Happy World Water Day everyone!

Did you know:

• 2/3 of our earth is covered with water
• the human body contains nearly 90 of water
• a human can survive for a month or more without eating food, but only a week or so without drinking water

Water is a vital need to any kind of life to survive on earth. Can you imagine living your life in which your access to clean water was slim to nothing?

The Isaiah Challenge: Release. Relieve. Revive

Compassion came out with a brand new initiative for advocates called, The Isaiah Challenge: Release. Relieve. Revive. In Isaiah 58:6, God instructs us to loose the chains of injustice, untie the cords of the yoke and set the oppressed free. Compassion International is an organization that is living Isaiah 58!

Each word represents three different causes through Compassion.

Relieve: Bite Back!

Revive: Water of Life

If you are a child advocate for Compassion International, I encourage you to participate in one or all of these causes. Check it out and choose the cause that you are most passionate about! Can't decide, take on the challenge of all three causes and see what God will do! If you are not an advocate, I ask that you pray as to how God wants you to respond to Isaiah 58. Water of Life

Its amazing how we can access clean water in so many ways, we can bring this opportunity to others! Compassion's Water of Life, a safe water system goes to the heart of one of the greatest and most urgent needs in developing countries today – providing safe drinking water to children and their families.

When you give to Compassion's Water of Life, you are not only giving safe drinking water, you are protecting a child from life-threatening diseases and allowing that child to go to school, to dream and reach their full potential.

Here are some action steps to get involved.

- Donate to Water of Life: $55 provides:

• Compassion's Water of Life system – safe water for life (over 1 million gallons) for a child and their family in developing countries. 
• Education on improving hygiene and sanitation
• Support for improving community water and sanitation sources where needed.

- Vote for Compassion International in the water.org contest to take over their Twitter account to raise awareness about the problem of unsafe drinking water and inadequate water supplies in the developing world. There are only 2 days left so vote now!

- Get involved by either giving a Water of Life presentation with your church and or raising money towards the cause.
